Mariza Buhay Ketcher
Mariza Buhay Ketcher's artistic journey blossomed amidst the hallowed halls of St Scholastica's College, Manila, where her latent talent for painting was first unearthed during Visual Art classes. While pursuing a Bachelor of Science and Commerce with a major in Business Management at De La Salle University, Manila, Mariza's artistic spirit lay dormant, only to be reignited shortly after her tenure as a flight stewardess with Philippine Airlines from 1987 to 1998.
The fulfillment of her dream to become a wife and mother to three remarkable boys marked a turning point in Mariza's life. In 1998, post her flying adventure, she rediscovered her passion for painting, dusted off her brushes, and embarked on a creative odyssey. To date, her portfolio boasts over 200 mesmerizing artworks spanning watercolor, oil, pastel, acrylic, and pen and ink mediums.
Mariza's artistic prowess has not gone unnoticed; she is a distinguished leader in ARTlead., a vibrant artist community on Facebook, where her ingenuity earned her recognition as one of the top 12 ARTleaders in 2014. The pinnacle of Mariza's artistic endeavors was her solo exhibition, "Comfort in Colour," featuring more than 50 captivating artworks, hosted at the prestigious main lobby of Deutsche Bank's flagship branch in Bonifacio Global Center, Taguig. A luminary in the art scene, Mariza is an esteemed member of the United Women Artists Association of the Philippines, further solidifying her status as a force to be reckoned with in the world of visual arts.
